Volunteer Teaching

“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” – Desmond Tutu

This is an exceptional opportunity to provide much needed assistance to the Karen people. Mae Ra Moe refugee camp is in a remote location in northwest Thailand and is not accessible by public transportation. They receive few visitors, so when volunteer teachers arrive in camp and in their classrooms the students and teachers are elated! Volunteers are immersed in the rich and colorful culture and traditions of the Karen people and embraced in an extended family-like community. The most difficult part of volunteering in camp is tearing yourself away when it’s time to leave!
